How long does it take to charge the battery?
About 6 hours.
Can I order an extra battery pack?
Yes! individual batteries are available for sale here. They are Extended Life Battery Packs, not the Surge Battery Packs included with the product.
What's the difference between the Extended Life Battery and the Surge Battery?
The Surge Battery will heat up the blanket in 5 minutes and keep it hot for 2+ hours. With the Extended Life Battery, you'll need to preheat the blanket for 45 minutes before use, but then you'll get up to 5 hours of warmth with it. The Surge Battery is included with all of our blankets, and is currently not available for sale individually. The Extended Life Battery, on the other hand, is only available for sale individually.
Is my blanket machine washable?
Yes, it is! Simply remove the battery pack, wash on a delicate cycle and then air dry.
Can I take this blanket in my carry-on luggage when I travel by plane?
Yes, you can! FAA allows carry-on of battery packs less than 100 watt hours in size. Our battery pack is 96.2 watt hours for that very reason (1 battery pack per carry-on).
If the battery is charging while the blanket is connected, does it still drain the battery?
Good question. No. The 12 volts of current will charge the battery until full, then bypass the battery to heat the blanket directly. It’s pretty cool! This allows you to use our blankets just like a traditional heating blanket. The same is true if you are charging a mobile device.
What is the most efficient method for heating, charging and using my blanket?

Can I charge the battery pack with a Jackery or Goal Zero or similar portable solar power station using either the 12v plug or 110v outlets?
Yes, you can! The Cozee needs just 12 volts of electricity for charging.
Can I use other battery packs to power the blanket?
Unfortunately, no. Our battery pack is designed just for the Cozee blanket and is a proprietary 12 volt system with a 96.2 watt hour battery.
